Dogswell

Dogswell Nutrisca Lamb and Chickpea Recipe Dry Dog Food is grain-free, gluten-free and potato-free, protein-balanced recipe for all life stages and breeds. It's one of the only grain-free recipes without potato or tapioca, both of which are high on the glycemic index which may contribute to weight gain. Instead, low glycemic chickpeas and peas are used, which provide an excellent source of protein, fiber and folic acid. Great for diabetic dogs! No gluten, soy, corn, wheat, flour, BHA/BHT, added steroids, ethoxyquin, added hormones, artificial colors, flavors or preservatives are added. "Everything you want, nothing you don't."

Antibiotic-free lamb provides an optimal source of protein and amino acids essential for muscle development. It's a great alternative for dogs with poultry allergies! Balanced levels of proteins, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables, along with chelated minerals, provide optimum nutrition and palatability. Chelated minerals are more easily digested and absorbed by the body than common minerals.

Why peas and chickpeas? These low glycemic legumes with exceptional benefits are also great sources of protein, fiber and the essential amino acid, Lysine. Lysine is vital for many body functions including growth and maintenance of tissues and muscle mass. Chickpeas are also low in fat, which helps lower blood cholesterol and replenish the body's supply of iron.

Premium fruits and vegetables, such as carrots, apricots and blueberries, along with vitamins A & E are exceptional sources of antioxidants that help maintain a healthy immune system. Salmon oil is high in Omega fatty acids, supporting healthy skin and a shiny coat. It also contains DHA, a fatty acid that is important for optimal brain and vision development in puppies.

NOTE: This food is certified by the Glycemic Research Institute as a certified low glycemic canine food.
