Wellness CORE Reduced Fat Dry Dog Food is a more thoughtful grain-free alternative for dogs over 1 year old who are less active or need to lose weight. This formula contains 80% more meat than traditional dog foods that are formulated with grains, while controlling mineral and fat levels. It's 28% less fat than the CORE Original Formula. An excellent source of essential fatty acids for healthy skin and coat, this formula is made with 5 different protein sources: deboned turkey, turkey meal, chicken meal, whitefish meal and chicken liver, all which are free of added growth hormones and steroids. Grain-free to keep carbohydrates to a minimum, potatoes provide fiber and energy-giving carbohydrates, while keeping the kibble firm. No animal by-products, wheat, soy, dairy, corn or corn gluten, artificial preservatives, colors or flavors are added.
Ingredients such as kale, broccoli, spinach and parsley are chosen for their naturally unique dietary contributions. Glucosamine hydrochloride and chondroitin sulfate help maintain bone and joint health, along with maximum levels of calcium and phosphorus. After cooking, each kibble is coated with a source of live naturally-occurring microorganisms normally found in a healthy digestive tract.
The nutrient levels of this food are appropriate for adult dogs over 1year, including senior dogs, that are less active or overweight.
